Lunde, a 2014 graduate, was a four-year member of the Lander baseball team, playing in 205 games in his four years, and was named team MVP as a freshman. As a senior, Erik set the single-season school record for hits (94) and assists (219) while tying teammate Patrick Grady with 61 games played and started. Lunde finished the season third in the country in total bases (164), hits (94), and runs (76), and was named All-American as the Bearcats finished the season with a school-record 52 wins and made their first appearance in the College World Series. Erik was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates and played professionally for two years. Â
