Bob Stoner worked at Lander for 28 years and served as Lander's first Sports Information Director while also coaching cross country for 19 years. In his time as cross country coach, Stoner was the 1990 NAIA Area 7 Coach of the Year and three-time Peach Belt Conference Coach of the Year. He coach two individual women's conference champions and numerous All-Conference runners on both the men and women's sides. The 1991 women's team won the first Peach Belt Championship in the leagues inagural season. As Sports Information Director, Bob was responsible for writing articles, taking photos, managing the website he created, and making sure statistics were up to date. As a one-person shop, Stoner worked hard to ensure the athletic department and each sport was represented well in the newspaper and other media. In his final year, The Lander Sports Information office was named the Peach Belt Sports Information Staff of the Year.
