AUGUSTA, Ga. – After defeating Flagler for the Peach Belt Conference Men's Lacrosse Regular Season Championship on Saturday, Lander's Michael Mattaliano earned the conference's Offensive Player of the Week award this afternoon.

Mattaliano, a junior, had a career day with five goals and an assist in the 14-9 win over the Saints. Both the goal tally and his six points marked new single-game career-highs for the Fishers, Indiana, native. He also had a perfect shooting percentage and picked up three ground balls.

Mattaliano is third on the team with 25 goals, 16 assists and 41 points this season.

The Bearcats will host the PBC Tournament later this week at Van Taylor Stadium on Thursday and Saturday. Lander's semifinal round game versus fourth-seeded Alabama-Huntsville is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start. Tickets must be purchased online here.
