AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference announced Josh Murray as this week's PBC Men's Soccer Defender of the Week in a release this afternoon.

Murray, a sophomore from Burscough, England, helped Lander to a 1-0-1 record last week and scored a goal in Lander's 6-1 home win over Georgia Southwestern on Saturday afternoon.

He played 167 minutes over two games – the Bearcats had a 1-1 draw with USCA on Wednesday night – and it was his second goal of the season.

The score came on a header in the 32nd minute off a Christian Hatley corner kick.

Lander is back on the pitch this Saturday at Lee U for a 6 p.m. non-conference tilt at Ray Conn Sports Complex.
