AUGUSTA, Ga. – In a press release this morning, the Peach Belt Conference announced the 2025 Men's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches' Poll results and All-Conference Team members, and the Lander men's lacrosse team was picked to finish 1st in a tie with Montevallo.
The Bearcats received one first-place vote and seven total points while the Falcons received two first-place votes and seven points; the poll can be seen below.
Representing the Blue and Gold on the Preseason All-Conference Team are a trio of seniors in
Zane Dalpe,
Britton Weems and
Carter Wilcox.
Dalpe put together a 32-goal, 26-assist campaign last season as the Bearcats finished 12-4 overall with a 3-1 record in the PBC before winning the conference tournament for a second straight season.
Wilcox contributed 28 goals and 19 assists and was named an All-American, All-Region and All-Conference performer for his efforts a season ago.
Weems, another All-Conference and All-Region member in 2024, led Lander's defense with 16 caused turnovers and also grabbed 39 ground balls.
The Bearcats' regular season gets underway next Saturday (Feb. 1) on the road against Coker. Face-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Hartsville.
