Field Hockey went 1-1 over the last week.
On Tuesday, Lander defeated Coker 3-1 on Senior Day. Sophie Schmitz scored two of the goals and assisted on the other. Schmitz has contributed to the last eight goals that the Bearcats have scored and is second in the conference in most offensive categories.
On Saturday, the Bearcats fell to #7 Mount Olive in a non-conference game by a score of 2-0. The Trojans scored in the second quarter and sealed the game with a goal later in the fourth to snap Lander’s three-game winning streak.

The Lander Field Hockey Team will play their last game of the season on Friday as they will travel to Gaffney, S.C. to take on the Limestone Saints in a win-and-in situation. The winner of that game will earn the third and final spot in the Mountain Division in the SAC Tournament. The first-round opponent will be Belmont Abbey as the Crusaders have locked up the two seed in the Piedmont Division.
