23 Student-Athletes Named to Peach Belt All-Academic Team

MARTINEZ, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced its Fall All-Academic Teams this week, with 23 Lander student-athletes earning recognition.

To be eligible for the PBC All-Academic Team, formerly known as the PBC Teams of Academic Distinction, student-athletes must meet the following criteria: participate in at least half of their team's events and be either a starter or significant contributor; achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale; and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Transfer student-athletes become eligible once they meet all requirements. The program is administered by the Peach Belt Conference sports communications staff.

Over the past four and a half years, Lander Athletics has placed 297 student-athletes on the PBC All-Academic Teams/Teams of Academic Distinction, including 73 during the 2024-25 academic year, 82 in 2023-24, 52 in 2022-23, and 67 in 2021-22.

As a department, Lander student-athletes posted a 3.35 GPA during the fall semester, with 76% of athletes earning a GPA above 3.0.
