GREENWOOD – Lander University Athletics Director Brian Reese announced today that Head Men's Soccer Coach
Dale Parker has stepped down from his position for a role at another institution.
During his three years as head coach, Parker led the Bearcats to a pair of nine-win seasons in 2023 and 2025. In both of those campaigns, Lander served as the No. 2 seed in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament following the regular season. Lander advanced to the PBC Tournament Championship in Parker's first season.
13 Bearcats were named PBC All-Conference members under Parker's guidance – including seven this past season – and
Christian Hatley was the conference's Offensive Player of the Year in 2025.
In addition, Parker mentored four players to the D2CCA All-Southeast Region Teams during his tenure, and Hatley was named a D2CCA All-American in 2023. Jed Smith was also named a College Sports Communicators Academic All-American under Parker in 2023.
A national search for the program's next head coach will be conducted immediately.
