Langley Named Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Lander senior point guard Quadaija Langley has been named the Peach Belt Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, her fourth career honor and first of the 2025-26 season, the league announced Monday.

Langley delivered a breakout week for the Bearcats with two strong performances against conference opponents. She opened with 13 points and seven rebounds at Georgia Southwestern. Next, in a dramatic win over Augusta, she posted season highs of 22 points and five steals, shooting 47.1% from the field and going a perfect 4-for-4 at the free-throw line against the Jaguars.

She capped the week by calmly knocking down two free throws with four seconds remaining to complete Lander's 17-point comeback and seal the Bearcats' victory over Augusta, emphasizing her leadership and poise in a defining moment.

"Quadaija's performance this week was a direct result of preparation, confidence, and competitive fire," said head coach Nicole "Colie" Shelwick. "She embraced the moments this week and delivered. We are so proud of her, and this is very much deserved."

Following the week, Langley is averaging 15.7 points, 2.2 steals, 1.8 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game while shooting 40.2% from the field and 78.3% from the free-throw line. She leads Lander in points (220), field goals made (80), three-pointers (24), free throws made (36), assists (25), and minutes played (30.3 per game).

Among Peach Belt Conference leaders, Langley ranks third in scoring, fourth in free-throw percentage, fifth in field-goal percentage, eighth in three-pointers made per game, and ninth in steals (31).
