Hulst Named to NFHCA Senior Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Senior defender Victoria Hulst has been selected to the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Senior Team, the organization announced Wednesday. Hulst becomes the first player in Lander Field Hockey history to earn the honor.

Selections to the Senior Team are based on nominations submitted by NFHCA member coaches and reviewed by committees composed entirely of NFHCA-affiliated coaches. Seniors are eligible for selection only once in their careers. Hulst is one of 36 student-athletes chosen nationwide for the 2025 team.

Hulst capped her four-year career as one of the most accomplished players in program history, starting all 73 games Lander played during her tenure and serving as a four-year team captain. The Maarssen, Netherlands native totaled 45 career points on 20 goals and five assists, adding four defensive saves while anchoring a backline that helped Lander post a program-record seven straight shutouts during the 2025 season.

A two-time All–South Atlantic Conference selection, Hulst earned First Team honors in both 2024 and 2025. She was also named the 2023 SAC Tournament Most Valuable Player, converting the decisive penalty stroke in overtime to lift the Bearcats to their first conference championship in program history.
