GAINESVILLE, Ga. - The Lander Women's Cross Country team had five of six runners run personal bests as the Bearcats placed eighth at the Peach Belt Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning. The Women of Lander had a team average of 22:36 across their lineup.
Flagler placed first with 19 points, four points short of a perfect score.
Madeline Beal (Greenville, S.C.) once again led the pack with a personal record of 20:04.
Rachel Schenck (Martinsburg, W.Va.) was the next Bearcat across the line also with a PR time of 21:47.3.
Kiersten Thatcher (North Augusta, S.C.) was the third Lander runner to finish with a PR, finishing in 22:20.8.Â
Arianna Nabbie and
Katie Lea rounded out the scoring five for Lander, finishing in PR times of 24:22.6 and 24:30.2, respectively.
Megan Hamby rounded out the lineup with a time of 25:12.3.
The Bearcats return to the course for the final time this fall in two weeks as they compete at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships at the same course. Â
