GREENWOOD – The No. 4-ranked Lander men's tennis team claimed two doubles matches and five singles en route to a 7-2 Peach Belt Conference victory over USC Aiken on Saturday afternoon at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.
Lander improves to 8-2 overall and remains unbeaten in the PBC at 5-0. USC Aiken drops to 4-5, (1-4).
In singles, No. 1 David Korsten (LU) def. Mathias Degardin (USCA) 3-6, 6-2, 10-8; No. 2 Antonio Sabugueiro (USCA) def. Jules Vauthier (LU) 4-6, 7-5, 10-6; No. 3 Eirik Groner (LU) def. Hunter Lathrop (USCA) 6-4, 6-2; No. 4 Ozan Cildir (LU) def. Wojciech Adamek (USCA) 7-5, 6-0; No. 5 Alexandre Springer (LU) def. Tales Silva (USCA) 6-2, 6-1; and No. 6 Omar El-Moslemany (LU) def. Alvaro Garcia Gil (USCA) 6-3, 6-0.
