AUGUSTA, Ga. – Four members of the Lander men's lacrosse team earned All-Conference selection this afternoon, the Peach Belt Conference announced.

Mitchell Festi made the First Team as a defender while Matt Duarte (attack), Sean Reilly (midfield) and Breton Crewe (face-off specialist) were each named to the Second Team.

Festi came to the Bearcats this season from Newberry and has made his mark thus far: he finished the regular season with 26 caused turnovers and 50 ground balls, which were both second-most in the PBC.

He also earned the conference's Defensive Player of the Week award on Feb. 9.

Duarte likewise joined LU from Newberry and led the Bearcats in goals (30), assists (14) and points (44) in his first campaign in Greenwood. His goal tally was third-best in the conference and his point tally, fourth.

He earned the PBC Offensive Player of the Week award on Feb. 16.

Reilly, a graduate student, produced the best season of his Lander career this year with 18 goals and 21 points. He had six multi-goal games and set a new career-high of four goals in a game versus Coker on Feb. 7. This is his first All-Conference nod.

Crewe, now a two-time PBC All-Conference member, had another solid regular season as the Bearcats' primary face-off man. He was second in the PBC as he won 57.6% of his face-offs (110 of 191).

Despite missing a handful of games, Crewe finished third in the conference with those 110 face-off wins, only 18 behind Montevallo's Branden Shaffner.

The Bearcats begin the PBC Tournament on Friday in Montevallo, Ala. Game-time versus No. 2 seed Flagler is set for 7:30 p.m. CT at the Montevallo Lacrosse Stadium. More information on the game and tournament can be found here.
