Langley, Fowles, Carter Earn PBC All-Conference Honors

AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Peach Belt Conference announced its 2024-25 All-Conference teams and major award winners, with three Lander University women's basketball players earning recognition.

Quadaija Langley was named to the First Team All-Conference, Shcira Fowles was selected for the Third Team, and Abby Carter received the prestigious Elite 18 Award presented by Barnes & Noble College.

Langley earns her first career All-Conference nod after an outstanding season leading the Bearcats in multiple statistical categories. The junior guard has scored 372 points this season, averaging 16.9 per game, while also leading Lander in three-point attempts (5.4 per game), free throws made (100-of-138, 72.5%), and assists (66). She ranks in the top 10 in the PBC for scoring, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, three-pointers per game, and assists.

Fowles has been a dominant force on the boards for Lander, recording 11 double-doubles so far this season. She leads the Bearcats in rebounds with 274 (10.5 per game), blocks (25), and field goals made (134, 11.7 per game). The junior forward tops the PBC in field goal percentage (.451), ranks second in scoring, and is seventh in blocked shots.

Carter was recognized as this year's Elite 18 recipient, an award given to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA among the remaining teams at the conference championship site. The honor reflects her dedication to academic and athletic excellence.

Lander's three honorees highlight the program's continued success as the Bearcats advance into postseason play.
