AUGUSTA, Ga. – Kajsa Lindqvist was tabbed this week's Peach Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Week following her top-10 performance at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial, it was announced today.
Lindqvist finished two-under last week and tied for ninth place out of 90 competitors. She had rounds of 69, 72 and 73 and made 11 birdies throughout the tournament.
The senior from Gothenburg, Sweden, tied for the tournament lead in par-4 scoring, shooting four-under on those holes at a 3.87 stroke average. She also made 36 pars in a consistent performance – good for T9 in the field.
As a team, Lander finished sixth of 16 teams and was +15.
This also marks the second consecutive week a Bearcat is the PBC Women's Golfer of the Week, as
Sakurako Tanaka took home the award a week ago.
Lander concludes the fall season with next week's D2 Elite Invitational at Currahee Club in Toccoa, Georgia. The event will be held on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 27 and 28, and is hosted by Anderson.
