Greenville, S.C. - Acrobatics & Tumbling were picked by the Conference Carolinas Preseason Coaches' Poll to finish sixth. This will be the third season for the Bearcats.
Lander finished sixth in the conference last season, with a 3-5 record. The Bearcats earned their first ever perfect 10 last season in the tri-meet against Belmont Abbey and Chowan. That score came during the Pyramid Heat 3 (Open) event, earning them a spot in the NCATA National Championship in just their second year of existence.
Three acrobats that were highlighted as Players to Watch include Avery Marquis (2022 NCATA Freshman of the Week Honorable Mention, NCATA Academic Honor Roll), Ryann Swope (2022 NCATA Academic Honor Roll), and Whitley Hoffman (2022 NCATA Academic Honor Roll).
The Bearcats will begin the season on Feb. 6th hosting Mars Hill at 6 pm. Lander will also host the Conference Carolinas Acrobatics & Tumbling Championship on April 11, 15-16 which includes semifinals, event and team finals.
