Lander Claims Open Toss Title at Conference Carolinas Individual Event Finals

BRISTOL, Tenn. - Lander University's acrobatics & tumbling team captured the Open Toss title Sunday during the Conference Carolinas Championship event finals, edging out top competition with a standout performance.

The Bearcats' group of Ashlyn Shively, Rhianna Philcox, Madison Owens, Casey Sutherland and Riley Wolters delivered a score of 8.875 out of a 9.90 start value to secure first place. Their score topped Coker (8.625) and Mars Hill (8.575), sealing the win in one of the most competitive toss heats of the event.

In total, Lander qualified and competed in 11 event finals, showcasing the team's depth and consistency across the championship stage.
