SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Lander Men's Cross Country Team traveled back up to Milliken Arboretum to take part in the Upstate Invitational.

Freshman Riley Bird and Ethan Waites both had outstanding races as they both cut off a minute off their time from the Converse Kick-Off at the same course a few weeks ago. Bird ran a 31:45.0 as compared to a 32:46.2 a week ago while Waites ran 32:05.4 compared to 33:22.5 a week ago.

Both the Men's and Women's teams will be back in action next Saturday as they travel up Highway 34 to take part in the Newberry Invitational. The women's 5k will start at 9:00 AM while the men's 8k is scheduled for a 9:45 AM start.
