Lander Men Place Sixth at PBC Championship

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Junior Noah Chevalier continued to pace the Bearcats, running 26:52.1 to place 30th overall and lead the Lander men's cross country team to a sixth-place finish at the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Championship on Saturday morning on the campus of Georgia College and State University.

Chevalier's time marked his second-fastest 8K of the season and his second time under 27 minutes this fall.

Two freshmen were next across the line as Griffin Freeman and Jonathan Cummings followed in times of 28:35.3 and 28:43.3, respectively. Benjamin Carroll (29:35.4) and freshman Adam Bedenbaugh (29:42.3) rounded out Lander's scoring five as the Bearcats recorded a 1–5 average of 28:41.

Seth Hammon (29:54.3) and senior Ethan Waites (29:57.6) crossed the line nearly together, with Waites closing out his final Peach Belt Championship appearance.

Cooper Mayo (32:16.5), Bryan Wright (32:00.2), and Aaron Cameron (33:17.4) completed the lineup for the Blue and Gold.

The Bearcats will conclude their 2025 season on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship hosted at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte, N.C.
