GREENWOOD – The Lander men's golf team concluded the 2021 Bearcat Classic at the Greenwood Country Club in fifth place. The Bearcats finished with a team score of 876 (293+286+297) while Georgia College was first with a score of 856 (287+282+287).

Freshman Linus Jonsson led the Blue and Gold with a tie for eighth place after the final round as he shot three-under-par. Sophomore Chris Fortenberry finished tied for 33rd after shooting four-over-par for the tournament. Redshirt junior Cameron Bell tied for 44th after going seven-over-par while junior Maxime Legros finished tied for 66th after shooting 11-over-par.

The Bearcats are off to compete in the First Federal Southeastern Collegiate in Valdosta, Ga., between March 15 and 16.
