VALDOSTA, GA. – After two days of action, the Lander men's golf team finished the First Federal Southeastern Collegiate in 12th place.
PBC foe Georgia Southwestern took first place with a team score of 859. West Florida finished second with a score of 863 while three schools finished tied for third with a score of 865. The Bearcats shot a team score of 900.
Lander was led by junior Maxime Legros, who finished tied for 12th after shooting one-under-par for the tournament. Freshman Linus Jonsson finished tied for 52nd after shooting nine-over-par. Sophomores Chris Fortenberry and Valentin Peugnet both finished tied for 59th after shooting 15-over-par. Freshman Hugo Lari finished tied for 67th after shooting 18-over-par.
The Bearcats travel to Eatonton, Ga., to compete in the Bobcat Invitation for their next tournament starting on March 22.
