ST. AUGUSTINE, FLA. – The Lander men's golf team started its spring off in style, as the Bearcats finished fifth at the 2021 Spring Kickoff at the St. Johns Golf & Country Club.
The Bearcats finished top among all PBC schools in the tournament, as the Blue and Gold shot four-over-par to conclude the tournament. In total Lander shot a team score of 868 (283+295+290). Lincoln Memorial ran paces around the rest of the group, shooting 27-under-par as a team for a team score of 837 (275+279+283).
The Bearcats had a pair of top-10 finishes, with junior Maxime Legros and sophomore Valentin Peugnet tying for ninth place. Both shot three-under-par for the tournament
Freshman Linus Jonsson finished tied for 15th after shooting one-under-par for the tournament. Redshirt junior Cameron Bell and freshman Hugo Lari both placed tied for 80th after shooting 15-over-par.
Lander travels to Albany, Ga., to take part in the Hurricane Invitational on February 22.
