GREENWOOD – The Lander volleyball team returns to action this weekend as Lander hosts West Georgia in Horne Arena on Friday before traveling to Belmont, N.C., to play Belmont Abbey and Winston-Salem on Saturday.

STORYLINES: 

· The Bearcats (7-1) enter the weekend on a three-match winning streak. 

· Lander's last match was a 3-0 sweep of rival Erskine.

· The win over Erskine saw the program's attendance record fall as 533 fans turned out to watch the Bearcats win their seventh match of the season.

· Junior Hannah Hirtz recorded a team high of 15 kills and a .778 hitting percentage against the Flying Fleet

· West Georgia (4-5) travels to Greenwood following a home sweep of Clark Atlanta.

· Lander is facing Belmont Abbey (0-9) for the second time this season. The first match ended in a 3-2 victory for the Bearcats 

· Winston-Salem's (1-2) lone win of the season came against Benedict.
