POOLER, Ga. - The Lander men's golf team finished fifth of nine teams Tuesday at the two-day, three-round Armstrong Pirate Invite hosted by Armstrong State University at the par-72, Savannah Quarters Country Club.
The Bearcats shot rounds of 299-283-301 for an 883 total. Flagler won the team title with a low 861 and was followed by: 2. West Georgia 869, 3. Clayton State 878, 4. Armstrong State 882, 5. Lander 883, 6. Coker 894, 7. North Georgia 895, 8. Young Harris 896, and 9. Barton 897.
Individually for Lander, Michal Pospisil shot rounds of 72-74-73 and tied for 10th with 219, Garrett Atkinson (77-68-76) tied for 17th with 221, Michael Brodie (79-68-77) tied for 25th with 224, Chris Kendall (76-77-75) tied for 34th with 228, and Jordan Ainley (74-73-83) tied for 39th with 230. Competing as an individual, James Bartlett (76-73-75) tied for 25th with 224.
