Box Score ATLANTA, Ga. - Breshay Johnson poured in a game-high 27 points Saturday evening to lead five Lady Bearcats in double figures en route to a 114-78 non-conference victory over Carver Bible College.
Lander, which led 53-34 at halftime, improves to 8-2 on the year, while Carver drops to 2-12.
Johnson made 9-of-13 floor shots and was 9-of-11 from the free throw line, while grabbing seven rebounds. Bre Crum added 19 points, seven rebounds and five steals; Mylea McKenith had 18 points, six assists and six steals; Jada Wallace 16 points and eight rebounds; and Sannayyiah Johnson 13 points and five rebounds.
For Carver, Estelle Niambek had 19 points and 17 rebounds; Erameh Emily 16 points and 11 rebounds, Antwannet Thomas 13 points, and Imaga Samuel 10 points.
The Lady Bearcats were 39-of-82 from the field (47.6 percent), including 6-of-22 threes (27.3 percent), and 30-of-39 foul shots (76.9).
Carver, which won the battle of the boards, 54-48, connected on 34-of-80 floor shots (42.5 percent), including 4-of-13 threes, and 6-of-15 free throws (40 percent).
Lander will next host Lees-McCrae at 5:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 14, in a non-conference game in Horne Arena.
