MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Lander volleyball team completed its two-game Peach Belt Conference weekend sweep Saturday when the Bearcats shutout Georgia College, 28-26, 25-19, 27-15, at the Centennial Center. The Bearcats dropped Augusta University, 3-0, on Friday night.

Lander improves to 20-8 overall and 8-4 in the PBC, while Georgia College drops to 9-11, 4-8.

Halle Dotson led Lander with a game-high 17 kills, while Kendall Korte added a double-double with 11 kills and 17 digs, Tarryn Angermeier 11 kills and six block assists, Ali Kirk 28 assists, Sophia Perkins a double-double with 16 assists and 13 digs, Julia Ferreira 20 digs, and Mallory Taylor 20 digs.

Georgia College was led by Caroline Long (10 kills, 14 digs), Kayla Brockway (35 assists, 12 digs), Katie Ray 18 digs, and Ella Anastasiades 12 digs.

Lander will next host PBC rival Francis Marion at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 28, in Horne Arena.
