PROSPERITY – The Lander men's golf team finished ninth of 15 teams Saturday at the two-round Honda of Columbia Fall Classic hosted by Newberry College at the par-71 Mid-Carolina Club.
Wingate University finished first with an 11-over-par 579 and was followed by: 2. Tusculum (584), 3. UNC Pembroke (589), 6. Newberry and UNC Pembroke "B" (292), 6. Clayton State and Catawba (601), 8. Newberry "B" (603), 9. Lander (608), 10. Cape Fear Community College (609), 11. Southern Wesleyan and St. Andrews Presbyterian (611), 13. Mars Hill (628), 14. Newberry (644), and St. Andrews Presbyterian "B" (663).
Lander's Brad Hannah (73-70) placed fourth overall and led Lander with a 1-over-par 143. Neal Todd (76-79=155) and Chad Siefert (81-74=155) tied for 43rd, Wes Bowman (81-78=159) tied for 58th, and Danny Clark (77-83=160) tied for 61st.
