GREENWOOD - Melissa McCracken posted 14 kills Tuesday night to lead the Lander volleyball team to a 3-0 non-conference victory against Southern Wesleyan University in the Bearcats' home opener in Horne Arena. Lander won, 25-11, 25-18, 25-23.

Lander improves to 3-1 overall, while Southern Wesleyan drops to 5-2.

Candace LaRocca dished off 38 assists for the Bearcats, while Madison Kubal and Chelsey Corgan had 23 and 14 digs respectively. LaRocca and Mallory Wasik each had two service aces.

Southern Wesleyan was led by Amber Garrett (12 kills), Emily Cothran (18 assists) and Keni Abercrombie (24 digs).
