SAVANNAH, Ga. - The No. 16-ranked Lander men's golf team is fourth of nine teams Monday after the first round of the two-round Armstrong Atlantic Pirate Invitational at the par-72, 6,922-yard Southbridge Golf Club. The second and final round will be played Tuesday.
Flagler College shot a 1-under-par 287 to lead the team competition and is followed by: 2. Armstrong Atlantic 289, 3. UNC Pembroke 298, Lander and Queens 300, 6. Mount Olive 305, 7. Bethune-Cookman 307, 8. North Georgia 313, and 9. Georgia Southwestern 316.
For Lander, Roberto Nasalli-Rocca is tied for seventh after shooting a 1-over-par 73; Charlie Hoyle is tied for 20th at 75, Bryan Newton and Seb Brown are tied for 27th at 76, and Davis Lee is tied for 42nd with an 80.
Lander's Max-Gottlieb Elsaesser, competing as an individual, is tied for third after shooting a 72.
