AIKEN - The Lander volleyball team saw its four-game winning streak come to an end Friday night as the Bearcats lost to USC Aiken, 3-0, in a Peach Belt Conference game in the USCA Convocation Center. Game scores were: 25-21, 25-23, 25-15.
USC Aiken moves to 11-8 overall and 3-4 in the PBC, while Lander is 12-5, 4-3.
Lindsey Everhart led the Bearcats in kills with seven, while Candace LaRocca added 17 assists. Chelsey Corgan had a team-high 17 digs and Ashley Ferry added 11.
USCA was led by Shannon Byers (eight kills, 14 digs), Lauren Cedeno (12 assists, 14 digs) and Samantha Lukralle (16 digs).
Lander will host Catawba at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, in a non-conference game in Horne Arena.
