KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C.----The Lander men's golf team shot a 22-over-par 310 Monday to place 14th of 16 teams after the first round of the Kiawah Island Invitational hosted by USC Aiken. The second and final round will be held Tuesday.

Oklahoma Christian scored a low 5-under par 283 and is followed by: 2. Armstrong Atlantic (287), 3. USC Aiken and North Alabama (289), 5. Carson-Newman (290), 6. Washburn and Belmont Abbey (291), 8. Lenoir-Rhyne (295), 9. Coker 297, 10. Newberry (298), 11. Georgia College (299), 12. Clayton State (300), 13. Wingate (309), 14. Lander (310), 15. Brevard (311) and 16. Pfeiffer (317).

Lander was led by Cooper Tinsley's 73. Other Lander golfers, with scores, were: Billy Belair (78), David Connor (79), Charlie Hoyle (80) and Seb Brown (81). Each team's low four scores count in its team total.
