SPARTANBURG----Tiara Good led four Lander women's basketball players in double figures Wednesday night as the Lady Bearcats defeated USC Upstate, 77-72, in overtime, in a Peach Belt Conference game at the Hodge Center.
Lander, which has won three straight games, improves to 15-11 overall and 9-6 in the PBC, while Upstate drops to 11-15, 6-9.
Good scored 27 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had six assists to pace the Lady Bearcat attack. Stephanie Ponds, April McClendon and Bryony Crouch posted double-doubles. Ponds added 15 points and 11 rebounds, while McClendon had 14 points, 11 rebounds and Crouch 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Upstate was led by Courtney Bradley, who scored a game-high 32 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Courtney Hawkins added 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Lander, which led 33-24 at halftime, made 23-of-69 field goals for 33.3 percent, 7-of-23 three pointers for 30.4 percent, and 24-of-33 free throws for 72.7 percent.
Upstate was 25-of-91 from the field for 27.5 percent, 9-of-39 from the three-point line for 23.1 percent and 13-of-17 from the free throw line for 76.5 percent.
