GREENWOOD----Four Francis Marion volleyball players posted double-doubles Friday night to lead the Patriots to a 3-2 Peach Belt Conference victory over Lander in Horne Arena. FMU won, 20-30, 30-23, 28-30, 30-28, 16-14.

FMU improves to 12-19 overall and 3-5 in the PBC, while Lander drops to 19-8, 3-3.

FMU was led by Jessica Lombardi (24 kills, 22 digs, 2 service aces), Jackie Phiel (26 kills, 23 digs), Jenna Kaiser (66 assists, 32 digs, 2 aces), and Kaitlin Straiter (16 kills, 11 digs). Kelsie Deaton and Karli Koralewski added 31 and 14 digs respectively for the Patriots.

For Lander, Kerri Sorensen had 18 kills and 18 digs, while Candace LaRocca added 58 assists and 20 digs. Kay Stewart chipped in 15 kills, Martina Camps 18 digs and three aces, Melissa Trippany 39 digs and three aces and Ashley Ferry 26 digs.
