GREENWOOD----The UNC Pembroke volleyball team rallied from a 2-1 deficit Saturday afternoon to claim a 3-2 Peach Belt Conference victory over Lander at Horne Arena. Game scores were: 30-26, 20-30, 25-30, 31-29, 15-13.

UNCP improves to 5-9 overall and 1-1 in the PBC, while Lander drops to 13-4, 0-2.

The Lady Braves were led by Abigail Parker (16 kills, 18 digs), Lizzie O'Connor (10 kills), Lexie Wood (26 assists, 10 digs), Lacie Johnson (19 assists, nine digs), Andrea Laza (32 digs) and Alicia Hill (18 digs, eight kills).

Lander was led by Kay Stewart (16 kills, six digs, two solo blocks, 10 block assists), Kerri Sorensen (11 kills, four block assists), Jennifer (JJ) Edwards (45 assists, 20 digs), Sara Senn (35 digs, two blocks, six kills), Melissa Trippany (29 digs), and Marina Camps (22 digs). Edwards and Senn had two service aces each.
