CLINTON----The Lander golf team placed 11th of 12 teams at the Presbyterian Intercollegiate Golf Tournament held Monday and Tuesday at the Musgrove Mill Golf Club.
Two-time defending NCAA Division II national champion USC Aiken won the event with a low team score of 594. USCA was followed by Coker 614, Valdosta State 623, Georgia College & State University 628, Tusculum 635, Catawba 639, Clayton State 647, Lenoir-Rhyne 654, Presbyterian 655, Barton 656, Lander 664 and North Greenville 668.
Lander was led by Brian Cote', who finished 26th with a two-day total of 83-78=161. Other Lander scorers were: 36th Mark Vanadia 85-80=165; Billy 43rd Billy Belair 85-83=168; 46th Cooper Tinsley 85-85=170; and 51st David Connor 87-85=172.
