Clayton State went on a 16-0 run to take a 26-16 lead with 10:25 left in the half. Lander then went on a 22-11 run to take a 38-37 lead with 1:55 left on a Kirkland layup. Jackson, Wiles and Nikkisha Pritchett each made baskets to give Clayton a 43-40 halftime lead.

The Lady Lakers pulled away early in the second half and held leads of 11 (52-41), 10 (72-62) and 11 (74-63) points, before the Lady Bearcats made their final run.

Beginning at the 8:08 mark, Lander went on a 19-9 tear to cut the margin to 83-82 with 1:23 left in the game. Good scored 10 points in the run, which included making a pair of three pointers.
