GREENWOOD----The Lander volleyball team snapped a seven-game losing streak Tuesday night when it swept Southern Wesleyan University, 3-0, in a non-conference game in Horne Arena. Game scores were: 30-17, 30-14, 30-20.

Lander improves to 8-21 overall, while Southern Wesleyan drops to 11-14.

Sara Senn led the Bearcat attack by recording 12 kills and 18 digs for a double-double. Kerri Sorensen added 11 kills, three service aces and six digs, while Andrea Griffin totaled eight kills. Claire Damon led the team in assists with 30 and Melissa Trippany had 16 digs.

Lander will host Belmont Abbey at 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3, in Horne Arena.
