TIGERVILLE----The Lander volleyball team snapped an eight-game losing streak Tuesday night when the Bearcats defeated North Greenville University, 3-1, in a non-conference game. Game scores were: 30-26, 25-30, 30-24, 30-28.

Lander improves to 7-14 overall and will host Mars Hill College at 7 p.m., Thursday.

Sara Senn recorded a double-double with 15 kills and 16 digs to lead the Bearcat attack. Kerri Sorensen added 16 kills, Melissa Trippany 16 digs, Christy Plecha eight blocks and Andrea Griffin five service aces.
