GREENWOOD, S.C. – Lander University Men's Lacrosse is proud to announce several exciting updates to its coaching staff as the program prepares for the upcoming season. Assistant Coach
Alex Williams has been promoted to Associate Head Coach, while
Tristan Kirkham has joined the staff as an Assistant Coach, and
Rhodes Conroy will serve as the team's Graduate Assistant Coach.
Alex Williams has been a cornerstone of the Bearcats' success since joining the program, bringing a new perspective on player development, recruiting, and day-to-day operations. The main architect of the Bearcat offense in 2025, the Bearcats finished in the top-ten nationally in assists per game, man up offense, points per game, scoring offense, and shooting percentage.
"Alex's promotion is a reflection of his leadership, loyalty, and the tremendous impact he's had on our players both on and off the field," said Head Coach
Anthony LePore. "He has helped set the standard for what Lander Lacrosse represents, and I'm thrilled to have him step into this expanded role. From recruiting to academic monitoring, to fundraising and community engagement, Coach Williams has had a noticeable and positive impact on every facet of our program, both on and off the field."
Joining Williams on staff is
Tristan Kirkham, who just finished serving as the Graduate Assistant Coach at Anderson University. After a stellar playing career at both Tusculum University and Anderson University, Kirkham joined the Trojan coaching staff last summer and helped guide the team to 13-5 record and appearances in both the SAC Championship game and NCAA Tournament. Kirkham also played professionally with the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League and the Nanaimo Timbermen and Langley Thunder of the WLA.
Additionally,
Rhodes Conroy, will be joining the Lander staff as the new Graduate Assistant Coach. After an outstanding career at Lincoln Memorial University where he graduated as the program's 3rd all-time leading scorer, Conroy will join the Bearcat coaching staff while pursuing his graduate degree at Lander. The Conroy connection to Lander remains strong as Rhodes older brother,
Krew Conroy, played five seasons at Lander and captained the team from 2022 through the 2024 season.
"With Tristan and Rhodes joining our program, we've added two passionate and knowledgeable coaches who will help elevate our players and push our program forward," LePore added. "Both of these young men were very accomplished NCAA Division II lacrosse student-athletes and I know that they will both bring enthusiasm and a fresh perspective to our staff."
