AUSTIN, Texas –
Carter Wilcox of the Men's Lacrosse program has been named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American, it was announced Wednesday.
Wilcox, the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Co-Attackman of the Year, a USILA and USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American, and USILA All-Region honoree, graduated with a 3.68 GPA in Business Administration this May.
He joins former Bearcats
James Linn and
Nicholas Paige to become the third CSC Academic All-American in program history. Wilcox, who is an At-Large Second Team honoree, is also the 17th student-athlete in Lander's history to earn this award.
A rigorous selection process, an undergraduate student-athlete must be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically; carry a 3.50 cumulative GPA; and in the case of men's lacrosse, compete in 90% of a team's games or start 66% of them while being an impactful presence on and off the field.
Wilcox advanced from the Academic All-District ballot last month before earning All-American status – only 45 Division II student-athletes made the At-Large Team.
The Harrisburg, North Carolina, native set program records for career points (235) and points in a season (85, 2025). Wilcox's 48 goals and 37 assists helped lead the Bearcats to the PBC Regular Season championship this year.
