Wilcox named USILA Scholar All-American, Bearcats earn Team Academic Award

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Carter Wilcox was named a Scholar All-American by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA), it was announced today. In addition to Wilcox's honor, the Lander Men's Lacrosse Team was one of only 31 Division II programs to earn the USILA Team Academic Award.

Wilcox, the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Co-Attackman of the Year, as well as a USILA and USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American and USILA All-Region honoree, graduated with a 3.68 GPA in Business Administration in May.

On the field, he set program records for career points (235) and points in a season (85, 2025). Wilcox's 48 goals and 37 assists helped lead the Bearcats to the Peach Belt Regular Season championship this season.

A Scholar All-American must be nominated by his coach and be a student with a senior year academic standing and a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher. The nominee will have behaved in a manner that has brought credit to himself, his institution, and to college lacrosse both on and off the field.

He must also be an All-American, a member of a North/South team, or an outstanding league or conference player.

The Bearcats produced a collective 3.412 GPA for the spring semester to earn the team recognition.

In order to garner a USILA Team Academic Award, a program needs to compile a team GPA of 3.00 or above for the season.
