Men's Golf up to 10th before play suspended during 2nd Round of South/Southeast Regional

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The Lander men's golf team improved by five strokes and climbed to 10th on the leaderboard before play was suspended with six groups – from other schools – yet to finish the second round of the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Friday.

The No. 16 Bearcats (+9) are two shots back of Palm Beach Atlantic in ninth, and four back of USC Aiken and Georgia Southwestern who are tied for seventh.

North Georgia is 18-under and holds an 11-stroke lead over Wingate as the tournament heads into its final day.

Aaron Lin carded a two-under 70 today – five strokes better than his opening round. This round included five birdies, and he now sits tied for 31st at one-over.

Victor Larsson (+3) is tied for 47th after shooting 74 in the second round.

Also improving over the first and second rounds was Edward Rahm. He posted a 73 in Round 2 and made eagle on the 532-yard par-5 14th – as Larsson did yesterday – and is now +4.

The fourth and fifth Bearcats on the leaderboard are Noah Curdt (+5) and Gaston Edberg (+12). Edberg bounced back after the first round and tied for the second-lowest Lander score of the day, 73, with three birdies.

Tee times have not yet been posted for the final round but can be found later in addition to live scoring at this link.
