HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – Competing in a deep 20-team, 108-player field at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional at Mission Inn Resort + Club, the 16th-ranked Lander men's golf team is tied for 13th at seven-over after the opening round.
No. 10 Florida Southern (-8) currently holds a four-shot lead over No. 13 Columbus State.
Noah Curdt is tops on the Bearcats in a tie for 24th individually at even-par 72 after making five birdies today.
Victor Larsson is one shot back of Curdt and had one of the field's six eagles in the first round, his coming on the 532-yard par-5 14th.
Following first-round 75s,
Aaron Lin and
Edward Rahm are currently tied.
Gaston Edberg is +11 through 18 holes.
Curdt will tee-off at 10:50 tomorrow morning followed by Larsson at 11, Lin at 11:10, Rahm at 11:20 and Edberg at 11:30.
