Pridgen Steps Down as Head Fishing Coach

GREENWOOD - Lander Head Bass Fishing Coach Drew Pridgen announced on Wednesday that he is stepping down from his position to take a job outside of coaching.

"We would like to thank Drew for everything he has done for the program in their transition under the Athletic Department umbrella," said Athletics Director Brian Reese. "The amount of national success that the team accomplished in such a short time is a testament to the hard work and strong leadership he put into the team. We wish him and his family all the best as he starts his new role with the school district."

Pridgen helped lead the Bearcat Anglers to back-to-back top-ten finishes in the national standings and several individual anglers also picked up individual honors under his leadership.

Lander will conduct a national search for the next leader of the Bass Fishing program starting immediately.
