Montevallo, Ala. — Lander scored five unanswered goals to defeat Alabama-Huntsville 11-9 Friday night to advance to the Finals of the Peach Belt Championship.
Trailing 9-6 in the fourth quarter, the Bearcats got a goal by Quinn Ingalls to make it 9-7. Twenty-three seconds later, Kyle DeCrispino scored on an assist from Krew Conroy to cut the deficit to one goal. Conroy then scored to tie the game up with 6:12 left. Lander took the lead with a goal by DeCrispino with thirty-nine seconds left, and Carter Wilcox added an insurance goal with two seconds left to win.
DeCrispino led the Bearcat offense with five goals and one assist, while Conroy had one goal and one assist. Nolan Oakey finished the game with two goals.
The Bearcats will now play Flagler in the Championship game at 1:00 PM CT.
