Seven men's lacrosse players named All-Conference

GREENWOOD—The Peach Belt Conference announced its 2024 Men's Lacrosse All-Conference awards Thursday night. Lander's Kyle DeCrispino, Carter Wilcox, and Britton Weems earned First-Team honors, while Nolan Oakey, James Linn, Krew Conroy, and Nicholas Page were named Second-Team. Page also won the PBC Elite 18 Award presented by Barnes & Noble for the athlete with the highest GPA competing in the Men's Lacrosse Championship. 

DeCrispino, an attack from Millersville, Md., earned his second All-Conference selection after finishing the regular season with 34 goals, 21 assists, 55 points, 34 ground balls, and three caused turnovers. He is fourth in the PBC in goals per game (2.43), fifth in points per game (3.93), and sixth in assists per game (1.50). 

Wilcox, a midfielder from Harrisburg, N.C., picks up his third All-Conference selection in three years. Wilcox has 24 goals, 18 assists, 42 points, 16 ground balls, and two caused turnovers. He is seventh in the conference in assists per game (1.29) and eighth in shot percentage (.375). 

Weems, a defender from Charlotte, N.C., earns his first All-Conference award. On defense, he has recorded 31 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers while scoring one goal and one assist. He has helped anchor a Bearcat defense that leads the conference in scoring defense (11.64).  

Oakey, an attack from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is tied for second on the team with 30 goals, has 23 assists, 53 points, 45 ground balls, and 11 caused turnovers this season. He is third in the PBC in assists per game (1.64), sixth in points per game (3.71), eighth in goals per game (2.43), and ninth in shot percentage (.372). 

Linn, a defender from Clover, S.C., picked up his fourth All-Conference award. He recorded ten caused turnovers and 13 ground balls on the top defense in the league. 

Conroy, a midfielder from Kalamazoo, Mich., earns his fourth All-Conference selection after finishing the regular season with 16 goals, three assists, 19 points, 18 ground balls, and seven caused turnovers. 

Paige, a goalkeeper from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, earned his second-straight All-Conference award. He finished the regular season with nine wins in goal and 151 saves. Paige led the PBC in goals against average (12.06) and third in save percentage (.528) and saves per game (10.79).
