GREENWOOD — Carter Wilcox's goal with 2:47 left in overtime gave Lander a 13-12 win over Flagler in Peach Belt action.
A goal by Nolan Oakey with 6:35 remaining in the first quarter tied the score at one. After Flagler regained the lead, Zane Dalpe scored with under a minute remaining in the quarter to tie the game up again. The Bearcats came out on fire in the second quarter, taking a 5-2 lead with two goals by Oakey and one by Kyle DeCrispino. Lander would hold a 6-3 lead heading into the half.
The Saints outscored Lander 9-6 in the second half to force overtime. 1:13 into the extra period, Wilcox scored his third goal of the game to give the Bearcats the win.
Wilcox led Lander with three goals and two assists, while Dalphe added two goals and two assists, and Oakey finished with three goals and an assist. Nicholas Paige made 16 saves in goal to pick up the win.
