Greeneville, Tenn. - #20 Lander scored ten second-half goals to break open the game and take an 18-4 win over Tusculum Tuesday afternoon.
Zane Dalpe started the scoring 43 seconds into the game, scoring on an assist from Nolan Oakey. After the Pioneers tied the game two minutes later, Quinn Ingalls and James Linn scored to give Lander the lead again. Tusculum would tie the game at three just before the first period ended.
Kyle DeCrispino scored 4:34 into the second quarter to give the Bearcats the lead for good. A minute later, Carter Wilcox found Dalpe for his second goal of the game, making it a two-goal lead. Oakey scored the following three goals for Lander to make it 8-3. The Pioneers added a goal with 40 seconds left in the half to make the score 8-4.
The Bearcats came out in the second half and shut out the Pioneers, scoring ten goals over the final 30 minutes to take the win.
Oakey led the Bearcat offense, scoring four goals with two assists. Ingalls finished the game with five goals, and Dalpe had three goals and two assists. Nicholas Paige got the win in goal, making nine saves in 50:15 minutes.
