Tigerville, S.C. - #20 Lander scored five unanswered goals late in the fourth quarter to take a 16-14 win over North Greenville Friday night.
The Crusaders jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first quarter, but a goal by Carter Wilcox ended the run with 11 seconds left in the quarter. Trailing North Greenville 9-3 midway through the second quarter, Bradley Brown scored to start a 6-0 run for the Bearcats that tied the game up with 12:37 left in the third quarter.
Lander would trail 12-11 to begin the final quarter, and the Crusaders would score two goals to extend their lead to three. The Bearcats would battle back, and a goal by Kyle DeCrispino with 3:58 left tied the score at 14. With just under a minute left, Brown would score his third goal on an assist from Wilcox to give the Bearcats their first lead. Wilcox would add an insurance goal as Lander would hold on for the win.
