GREENWOOD - The Lander University Women's Rugby team faced a tough loss, falling 38-34 to Clemson University.

Head Coach Makayla Lowe acknowledged the team's effort and highlighted areas for improvement. "I am very proud of this squad. They have overcome many obstacles and fought until the final whistle," Coach Lowe said. "Moving forward, we need to refine our breakdown work and strengthen our defense."

The Bearcats scored tries from Kacey Reynoso (3), Rebecca Palmer, and Joanna Mora. Lindsey Psyell also contributed with three conversions and a penalty kick, adding to the final score.

The team is eager to regroup as they travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to face FSU on Friday, October 25th, and UCF on Sunday, October 27th.
